On October 10, 2023, in the Abbas Abad neighborhood of Tehran, a 42-year-old woman was killed by her husband in what is being labeled as an honor killing. The husband claimed that his motive for the murder was related to issues of honor and his wife's alleged relationship with another person. The woman was killed with a knife. Following the incident, the murderer was apprehended by the police after injuring another man who claimed to be involved with his wife.
