In December 2017, reports emerged of the murder of a girl identified as "Z" in the village of Abadeh, located in the Lodab area of Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad province, as covered by the Shargh newspaper. According to the publication and eyewitnesses, the actions of a neighbor's son, who had harassed "Z," provoked her uncle and brother over concerns for the "family's honor." In response, they initially assaulted the young man from the village before directing their violence toward "Z." The incident culminated in her brother forcefully hitting her head against a wall, leading to her death, under the observation of her uncle.
