In Kazerun, Fars province, Zahra Shafiei, a young mother of three, was reportedly murdered by her husband and brother due to honor-related reasons. The incident, documented by the human rights organization Hengaw, occurred in late January (Dey month of 1402 in the Persian calendar). According to sources, Shafiei was taken to the desert outskirts of Seyfabad village by her relatives, where she was subjected to physical assault and fatally shot.
